Strategic Influencing Skills for Women Leaders

The double-bind dilemma created by sex-role stereotyping makes the ability to use a full range of influence behaviors particularly important for women leaders. The stereotypes of traditional leadership and femininity are often in conflict, and women need to be even more skilled interpersonally to cope with the contradictory expectations of being a leader and being a women.

By the end of this workshop you will:

  • Have a wider repertoire of positive influence behaviors.
  • Know how to be assertive enough to be taken seriously as a leader.
  • Know how to be responsive enough that people want to follow you.
  • Have greater insight into how your behavior impacts others.
  • Be more skilled in giving and receiving feedback.
  • Be able to plan an influence strategy that you can transfer back into work situations.
  • Have built a new network of other women leaders.

This three-day workshop is offered to organizations and is delivered by Lynn Harris in association with Sheppard Moscow LLP
